I made my last mirror in the 60's and a lot has changed in ATM technology over the years. I am finishing up on a 16" and am considering my options for coatings. My choice back then was pretty simple and limited to Beral coatings at Clausing Inc. I see they are still in business but it seems many people are using coatings that claim to give higher reflectivity.
What gives? The newer "enhanced" and "super multi-coatings are a bit pricy compared to Clausing. Are they worth it? I would appreciate advice from someone having experience with both.
