You can still use tool on top but just keep your stroke length short until you have a good sphere and is polished out to the edge.. You may have to do some chordal strokes to ensure the edge gets as much attention , but be sure the overhang is only a 1/2 inch or so at most, and keep the center of pressure away from the edge of the mirror. The edge is very easy to turn down with a sub diameter lap if you overhang too much too often. |
