Real Scratches

Thanks Bob. I had to take a few weeks break from the mirror, but you were right. It only took about an hour to clean up the scratches I described. Bad news is I have several real scratches to deal with. I'm not sure what to do next. I've cleaned everything up and resolved to be more careful, but four hours of polishing has barely touched them. Do people usually go back to fine grinding if a bad scratch happens when they're finished with polishing? Thats what I'm about ready to do, but would polishing pads be a reasonable next step? Any input will be appreciated.
