How Can I Change The Alt Bearings?

Currently, as you probably know the alt mounting is a single nut with washer directly in the middle of the tube, only one point of contact. I have tried to figure out a way to give it a contact on each side of the tube to steady the sway but can't figure out how. Can you help me with this also? I am in the process of buying a 25mm 1 1/4 inch eyepiece and a hibryd diagonal.

Thanks
