Rick Crockett is one of our new members but well known for many years. His family has some connection with the restaurant or else most spaces in the middle of tourist season would be booked.

Friends and Fans of Rick Crockett are welcome to stay from Friday night July
13th. to the 22nd. with out charge.

Food facilities are closed Sundays but arrangements can be
made for breakfast type sandwiches etc. Forestry Rules and Puritan type
conduct is expected, courtesy, honor and decency are the price of admission but there is no charge to stay. Consideration maybe given to a donation to help the effort and improve the
facilities.

Rick and others will be teaching hands on astronomy including building and construction of
telescopes, astro cameras dew heaters, B&W and Color darkroom techniques. We are
also looking for experts to compliment these and more.

For the July Astro week, we will have a workshop to build a "Barn Door Camera
Mount". We then will take exposures of the night sky in B&W, develop our own
film and make our own prints. The cost of the workshop is $50 (received on or
before the 10th., $60 up to the 13th and $70 at the door) with all material
supplied to build the mount, take and develop a roll of B&W 35mm film, make a
test sheet and two 11x14 prints. Participants needs a 35mm Camera that can
take time exposures and a way to keep time in the dark. Red Led Lights will be
available for sale.

Space is limited to first reserved first served. Workshop
participants should plan to stay at least two or three nights. Reservations
may be sent to:

Reservations by mail have priority. Please Email too!
