I have a 10" f/6.8 and use a 1.83" diagonal. It provides 100% illumination for any 1.25" eyepiece I would use and almost 100% for 2" eyepieces up to 32mm fl. With the f/5. you will probably need the larger diagonal, 2.3 ~ 2.5", even if using 1.25" eyepieces. JMI makes a really excellent 2" low profile Crayford focuser called the Monorail that is available as a kit (very easy to assemble) for 80.00. I have 2 of them and they are great!!
Hope this helps!
Walter
