Fancy Artwork On Telesope Tube

Hello folks,

I am building a telescope (10 inch f/6) and am constructing a wood tube.

The tube will have baffling, black paint on the inside and all other good things for a telescope optical path.

However, I would like to hire an artist to paint an astronomy related composition on the outside. This would make an interesting mural for daylight moments before a public star party.

Since the tube's outside will not be white, what problems am I creating for my self with sunlight being more absorbed by the darker paint?

What other comments can you folks offer?

John
