Ok Everybody,
Is everyone out there asleep?
I haven't seen very many new messages.
This is an exciting year upcoming. Mars will be at
opposition by June. I'm ready. My telescope is top
notch, I have a new ccd camera. We are setting up
a new thin films company in one week. I have come
up with a new product. A minus blue-violet interference filter that will bring the regular
achromats to near APO status by getting rid of blue halos and still maintaining high transmission
elsewhere in the visible spectrum. Anyone out there wanting to test this filter let me know. I'll give out about 6 of these filters. I'm especially intrested in owners of the Celestron
C102 and C150 refracting telescopes. These scopes
seem well constructed except for some residual
chromatic aberration.
