I am busy with an 8" F8 and would like some advice on what mount to choose.
The tube, mirror and accessories will weigh ±12lb (6kg) I would like to mount it on a equatorial mount with a dual axis drive. (No digital setting circles) I will be using the scope for visual and camera work mainly on planets etc.
The two mounts that I have seen are the Discovery equatorial mount (18lb load) or one of th Orion telescopes mounts. GP, GP-DX or Skyview.
Can anyone give advice on what would be the better mount for my needs.
Are there any other mounts that I should look at?

Thanks in advance
