Rick,
I talked to the people at Commercial Plastics Inc today, and they explained it this way: Kydex is a PVC/Acrylic alloy; ABS is ABS. They said that for my (ATM) uses, the abs would be indistinguishable from Kydex at less than 1/4 price. As I said, a 4x8 sheet of .060 was 18.00. Pretty reasonable, I'd say.
