Batteries???

Hey All,

I've recently got my first battery dependent 'scope up and running and was wondering
what recommendations I'd get for batteries. I'm currently using a 7 amp/hour burgler alarm battery. Is a deep cycle marine battery considerably better, or will the alarm battery do ok? I only go on the occasional 2 nighter, and usually only for an 8 or 9 hour session per night.
I'm driving a syncro motor with an old Meade drive corrector and a 12v motor for dec. I will also be hooking up a fan on occasion for mirror cooling. TIA, Thad
