Actually I don't remember the China Lake Group, and that's a shame, since it was my very first duty assignment in the Navy back in 62~64. I agree about the hard pitch, since here in Florida pitch usually flows rapidly even when hard! However, it has been unseasonably cold here recently, and my two laps are pretty tough. I did multi-facet them, and they have worked very well indeed. I have actually finished the parabolizing now, and I'm very happy with the results. I can honestly say that I have a large mirror that doesn't have a turned down edge!! The figure is nice and smooth and my initial measurements show a 1/8 ~ 1/10 figure, but I am not going to coat until I finish the mount and do some star testing.
