Bob,
I guess I'm just being lazy, as I already have a 10" and a 6" tool with laps already on them. Also, since this mirror was received already polished, and knowing that most of the work needed to be done in the center anyway, I just "figured" it would be a logical approach.
I have trimmed the 10" into a star lap that is about 8~9 inches in diameter and have been using both for the past few days. The parabola is coming in, but very slowly, which is a good thing probably!
