My son-in-law purchased a Tal120. The scope is very solid. He purchased a converter and a
motorcycle battery to power the clock drive.
Since have equipment to coat mirrors we proceeded
to coat the TAL mirror with enhanced silver.
He also lined the inside of the tube with felt.
The detail on Jupiter and Saturn have been very
sharp. The double-double in Lyrae was easily
split with black between the stars. A very fine
scope at a bargain price.
