Hi Steve:

There is material available from the High Vacuum Society that can be found on the web. Use a search engine.

I found what should be a good book but have been unable to get it myself. From Laurin Publications.

I am told that one needs to get to 10 to the minus 5 torr for the diffusion pump to work correctly. Kevin Medlock say no more than a 20° angle from source to target. He also insists upon steel chambers.

Cheers,
-Rick
