Hi Rick!, or should i say oink! oink!
yes i think your right about the glass jug imploding, i thought of that myself, i'll probably go with a bell jar made for high vacuum.
would you happen to know what level of "backing"
vacuum is required for a small diffusion pump to begin working,i've heard they require a certain level of vacuum before they will even operate?
what is the recommended distance between the tungsten coil filament and the mirror?
i'll take your advice and start reading books, is there any book in particular you could recommend?
