Sorry that I don't have the Mirr-o-Matic machine web address but a quick search for grinding machines should pop that one up along with a few others.
Basically, the operation is that the bottom rotates at some speed depending upon the size of the glass and there is, in some way, an arm over the turntable that wipes back and forth by a very variably controlable arm the mirror (or tool) on the top which is generally allowed to rotate freely. The arm is adjusted for the operation desired in both offset and length of stroke.
