I've used the 3" size of Hollowood for the EPs of my 200" refractor (see RTMC Merit Awards for '98) and they are fairly even in dimension. For telescopes that are small enough to use them, they should do a very nice job. Please note that if you plan on tensioning a secondary, you will need to provide some external strength to the tube otherwise the tube will just collapse.
