Hello I have seen many article about wood tube for telescopes. Has anyone tried plywood tube? It is dimensionally stable, light, extremely stong and can be waterproofed. it can be veenered in rosewood. zebra, purpleheart, oak or anything else oncluding laminates. I may be able to get sections of defective tube for a good price for DIY's. These defective tubes may have a bad end in an 8' section. Please e-mail me if interested.
