I should get to work converting a bunch of inverters that I have to drive correctors.
Almost any power inverter (the 100W ones are very nice for this job) can be modified without real problems. The newer light ones are the best as they usually maintain the shape of the waveform over the frequency. What needs to be done to them is to find the resistor that sets the frequency and replace it with the button and pot assembly of the drive corrector. I usually set the frequencies to 30Hz and 100hz and allow a 2Hz range on the pot.
Any electronics person that understands how the power supplies work should be able to look at the board of a inverter and figure out what to do.
