I now Bob and Kip have heard me enough times, saying "diagram it" so whats up Guys?

Lay out your system on paper (wrapping paper, inside of gift wrap etc.) Draw the mirror and the lines to focus. Then determine the 100% field of illumination that you want and draw a line from each edge of the field to the corresponding edge of the primary. Roughly 1 1/4" or 2" depending upon your focuser or other requirements. Now measure back toward the primary the height of your focuser at focus, tube wall thickness, 1/2 tube ID. This gives you the center of your diagonal. Draw a 45° line through that point. This will give you the size of the diagonal. You then can draw in the tube and actually set parts on the drawing to visualize the positions and to take measurements. Transfer your marks from the drawing to the tube and then drill. This method also allows you to experiment with camera requirements and other accessories before perforating the tube.

If you have messed up maybe you can rotate your tube 90° or 180° and reposition your focuser.

Now now you guys, you should alway draw before you drill...;0)
