I have a problem with the reported results. I hate to not take somebody at their word but I dobt that either gentleman have ever produced a 1/40th wave by the best of techniques let alone by warping. Also remember they are not talking in terms of high quality for the simple bolt warping system.

Lets put it this way, anyone excited about this technique probably has no concept and little experience in producing good optics.

Having refined my own technique over 30+ years, I know I can make a better paraboloid, cheaper and faster than the warping. Neophytes have at it.

Bolt warping is not new nor invented in 1992. It has its place but I would rather warp the optic before finsh rather than after.

Have Fun,
