Jaeger`s optical was based in Lynbrook, NY. If you can find some old issues of Sky and Telescope magazine from the 1970`s or 80`s you will see their ad. They offered all kinds of optics related stuff, some gov`t surplus. However, about 10 years ago or so, the company building was damaged by fire. I am not sure if they rebuilt, but they stopped running ads in Sky and Telescope magazine. I would not be surprised if they went out of business.

If possible, try to star test the optics before purchasing the telescope. You can obtain a book on the subject here:

Also, with Jupiter and Saturn now in the nighttime sky, see how well the scope performs on them at 150X or higher.
