I continue to plot and plan on how to accomplish my objectives. It is hard to impossible to explain to anyone but another amateur astronomer the dampening requirements for a telescope mount. I`ve received much skepticism in talking to non-astronomers on the issue. They just don`t understand the big deal. My budget is limited, even more so if I decide on the 10" LX200 versus the 8" LX200 or LX90. (I don`t have any particular prejudice against Celestron but the 8" Ultima is closer to the 10" LX200 in price and if I decide to pay that much, I want that extra 2" of aperture.)

I appreciate your thoughts. This wouldn`t be an issue for a ground level observatory but a second story observatory has inherent complications.
