Hello All! I wish to start by saying that I am new to this group and if I make any 'errors', please excuse me. I am not new to telescope making though but I have never made any mirrors myself and I have a question about that: Done right, is it possible to, succesfully, make a hole in an old Newtonian mirror to achive a Classical Cassegrain design aswell? I have read that the "bending" that occurs around the hole will affect the mirror so that it have to be re-figured after the incision. Best Wishes/Jonas Carlsson
