For small finders, PVC works OK but not for larger scopes. It is probably heavier than anything else and flexes all over the place. On can minimize the flexing with heavier walled PVC but under stress the tube warps fairly fast. The PVC eventually will degrade to nothing by out gassing. This takes a long time (faster in sunlight and heat) as it does the pipe will also warp and contort. As Far as I am concerned nothing beats aluminum.
