I have aquired 2 154mm achromats without cells. I have access to a lathe and milling machine to fabricate the cells. My question is this:what is appropriate clearance between the outside diameter of the lens elements and the aluminum cell? My concern is thermal expansion and contraction and avoiding pinching the optics. any help would be appreciated.
