Off-axis Parabolic Mirrors

Does anybody have experience with a Newtonian with an off-axis parabolic mirror? This design should have a better contrast when compared with other scopes, as there is no obstruction. An interesting question is, how to produce such a mirror, or are there also complete mirrors for sale (about 5-8 inch)?
