Seller says 48"EFL at f:6.3 = 7.6" Dia. not 9.8". Just because a lense element is larger does not mean it will perform as a full aperture element. This Camera is worth about the starting price of $175 and is not a night time aerial lens which are color corrected. I have the same lens in the 1/2 size version (24" EFL x f:6) and it takes excellent photos but only with filters on B&W Film. I would expect the color to be about twice as bad on this one. Still with this knowlege one might have good results in a special and limited way. Just don`t come back and tell us you got a 230mm (9") APO because we know better. Last but not least maybe the optical glass could be worth something. Still I wouldn`t go over $250 (today I won`t even go the $175)

Have Fun,
-Rick
