I do not have an LX-10 but all the other Meade products I have seen have the center positive. This is a US standard of which only Radio Shack imports from China seem to violate. The idea is that the frame ground is true ground or negative. The if the edge of a connector drops agains the metal of an automobile it will not short. Nor will a metal accesssory box when set on the hood or bumper.

As tight lipped as Meade is I still would think their Website would have had your answer as for example it did for my 201xt autoguider.
