Along with the other things at that price, you may want to look into HexTek for a superlight blank. Bob Geoff is one of the people there and he has a 32" (800mm) blank that is about 6" or so thick (don`t remember exactly how thick) that he was selling for $22,000 a short time ago. goffaxe@azstarnet.com I do believe is his email. The blank is pyrex but it is light enough to be picked up by one person without any strain except for the akward size of it. The curve in the glass is pretty deep although you can`t really change the FL of the glass very far. The blank is nice as the thickest section is less than 12mm so it will cool very quickly to ambient, especially since the backside if full of venting holes. Presently, the blank isn`t cored for a cassegrain setup but that can be done very easily as the material isn`t very thick.
