Hi Chris:

I would think that would depend more on the controls you have than the scope. Some correction algorithims require leveling the scope and defining a true north point. Others have more sophisticated algorithims that can define the scope orientation just from a "two star setup". In your case you will also want to define a zenith point so the scope does not track below the horizon or into itself. You question may be better answered if you can name your control system.

I would be interested in what and where you got the motors, encoders and interface hardware and software, if it is not a commercial package.
