I`m planning to build my first scope (8inch Dob) but a little hestitant about trying to produce my own optics.

Has anyone had experience purchasing primaries and/or secondaries through Orion Telescopes? Orion guarantees a 1/8-wave surface accuracy or better on their primary mirrors and a 1/10-wave surface accuracy for the secondary mirrors.

Also, is there a formula to use when figuring the size of the secondary?
