Made a 12` diameter dome for my observing platform last fall. It is made of a cpvc frame and heavy duty poly tarp skin sewn to fit with an `eyelid` opening. Doing the work myself, it was very economical. The dome made it through a Wisconsin Winter just fine. Survived a 40 mph windstorm (likely higher gusts) with minor damage...back together in 20 minutes...my scope was inside and had no damage.
