For what seems a prefect solution to obtain a large parabolic mirror, I guess local vibrations is the show stopper.
I`m currently building my first Telescope, 6" f7.7 and initially wanted to find a novel way to acheive a parabolic mirror.
How about placing a thin good mirror above a sealed air chamber and reduce the pressure?
