I have received messages concerning some responses to questions left on this forum. Please remember what may be simple for you may be totally new to others. I am especially concerned when our young audience asks the basic questions and get slammed.

So here are the rules for this and all forums on Astronomy Net:

No profanity (remember, we have a young audience reading these pages)

No personal attacks during point-counterpoint arguments.

Include references if possible (papers, historical documents, etc.)

Express yourself, but please do not condemn any person or group.

Be Polite.

This forum, as all on The Astronomy Net, updates automatically. However, you can consider this a moderated forum in that I will delete any message I feel does not belong. I will also delete very old messages that have little response.

If I find that a certain person is leaving rude messages, I will remove every message from that person.

I will be very fair and open minded before I hit the delete key. Really.

Above all, I will ensure that this site remains kid friendly.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. All of you should be proud of the help you are providing to folks. I am happy to say that I rarely have trouble with posts. You all are great.

Please let me know via email if you find problem messages you think I should investigate.
