The examples I cite are proof that gravitational lensing is possible. However there seems to be no proof I am aware of, that gravity is an electromagnetic force. In fact it is a "weak" force and to try and generate a strong enough field to "lens" would for all intents and purposes preclude one coming as near to it as you propose.
