Imagine bending light with a gravitational field,sound crazy?,well consider this:an experiment suggested by Einstein,which predicted observing a star which was behind the sun at the time of a total solar eclipse, and was observed at the edge of the corona,proved this theory, that a strong gravitational field warps space.and the path of light conforms to this warped space,another experiment at a university in south africa a few years ago was conducted,which involved a rotating metal cylinder,which was heated ,it produced a refractive index gradient which bent light and acted like a lens,another experiment in sweeden i think, involved a rotating toroidal superconductor,which was rotated and levitated inside of a chamber called a cryostat,by 3 equalateral electromagnets,outside and above this chamber, small organic objects(such as frogs)were levitated. What do all these projects have in common?,rotation,free electrons,heat,magnetism,there is something about intense rotating magnetic fields. I wonder if it is possible to construct a telescope lens based on the idea of gravitational bending of light?
