| Some Questions About Building Telescope.

Hi all, I am now planning to build 12.5" f/6 dobsonian telescope. Before finishing my designing, I would be comfortable if the following matters become clear to me. 1)How does the baffle work, and how can I decide the position of the baffle? ( I found a message in this home page about baffle position, but I couldn't make it out). 2)Good ways to connect tube firmly. I am planning to cut the tube in 3 parts, first part with primary mirror, second part tube itself, and third part with focuser/secondary mirror/spider. My car is too small to bring them uncutted. Any replies to my questions are much appreciated. |
