: Any recommendations on where to buy a 10" F/6, 1/8 wave, mirror for a home built Newtonian telescope? Price and quality are important. Newport Glass seems to have the lowest price so far at $450 but what about quality?

Within the last two day I have seen a 10" f:5.6 and f:6 on Ebay and the Astromart.com. I think $450 is way too much. Newport really seems to have gotten greedy over the last ten years. I don't shop fot this small stuff so maybe they all have but if new is what you "gotta have", I'd shop Adorama, Orion, Meade, Celestron and anybody else with a ad. Once I found one that seems reasonable I would check around and see how responsible they are.

Good Luck, -Rick
