Equatorial Mount - Shaft Bearings

I have aquired aluminum castings for a large equatorial mount. What type of bearing should I use? the shafts will be in the 1 inch range, the castings are aprox. 12 inches end to end with large flat surfaces (6inches) where they mate together. Thank you
