Tasco And WebCam Combo!

OK, I'm short on cash and just wanted a glimpse of Mars - I live in the UK and there's no local astronomy clubs or star parties... So I broke the cardinal rule and spent £80 (about $120) on a Tasco 60mm/800mm telescope with an awful tripod, etc, etc.

Anyway, until I win the lottery and buy myself something decent I want to exploit this purchase - even if I can get some half decent shots of the moon with a webcam I would be happy.

So, the question - has anyone else been down this rocky astronomical road and will some cash on a good webcam be well spent. I also own a Nikon Coolpix camera, but the webcam appeals more as I can link it up to my PC.

Any thoughts or comments would be welcome.
