Thanks for the info, it sounds like this would definitely be worth checking out. I don't actually even have a telescope yet, so photographing the planets is something I may check into doing down the road sometime. I'll probably either get a Meade 8" LX90 or an 8" LX200, which run $1499 or $1999 respectively, but I might see if I can con my wife into letting me splurge the extra $500 to go from the 8" LX200 to the 10" LX200. :->
Have you gotten any good pictures of Saturn?
One thing though. When it comes to choosing a digital camera, I will need some advice. I basically know next to nothing about digital cameras, and I don't know what kind of specifications to look for when choosing one. What are the important specs I need to look at, and how much should I expect to spend on a camera like this? And, is there a such thing as a digital camera that cannot be coupled to an eyepiece, or do I need not worry about that?
Thanks again for all your help!
