You mount the camera on top of the telescope. There are mounting plates and brackets available for that from most any telescope dealer. The telscope will track the item across the sky. This will keep the camera focused on the item for a long period of time allowing for long exposures through the camera alone without it being attached to the telescopes eyepiece.
