I'm spending a lot of time doing solar prominence observing and have decided to shoot some pictures. Fortuantely, I've kept everything since last I did some astrophotography, but I don't remember some things and figure to state of the art may have moved forward a bit. The small experimenting I've done through my h-alpha filter shows that, using 200 speed color print film through my system at f30, somewhere around 1/200 is probably going to be about right. Anyway, I think I'd like to pick up some bulk black and white film, load up some short cartridges and go at it some more. There was a time when I would have used Panatomic X (I think) for planetary, and developed in H110(?). I could use some education in the latest films, developers and papers. Anybody out there? Fred |
