I have moved the entire Astronomy family of sites to a nice new server with the help of your previous contributions and personal funds. This server contains this site plus those listed at Astronomy Net.
These sites include excellent free software from http://aberrator.astronomy.net/, mirror making knowledge from Robert May, the Linux Astronomy HOWTO, The SciAstro FAQ and more.
I am proud to help these folks maintain a web address; It is the least I can do to support their gifts to the Astronomy community.
This site - www.astronomy.net - by itself sends about six billion bytes of information to visitors every month. The popular software from Aberrator adds to this greatly. Bandwidth costs money. I pay it.
I sell advertising on www.astronomy.net to help cover the costs. I get a little, but never enough to cover even 5% of expenses. I count on donations from patrons to help me keep Astronomy Net on the internet servicing the astronomy community.
Would you please consider a donation to my PayPal account to help cover costs? As the saying goes, "If I had a dime for every visitor, I would be rich." Given the average 1,700 visitors each day on www.astronomy.net alone, how true this would be. However, I keep this service free of charge as this stimulates maximum contributions to this site.
So if you like this site and want to help keep it online,
please consider a one time donation by visiting the link below.
or how about a recurring donation each month?
$2.95 a month - $4.95 a month - $6.95 a month - $9.95 a month
If you are an Astronomy business, we want to help you gain exposure. Visit our Advertising Information page for more details on our current plans.
