Hi, Kyle,
I think anyone who is a practicing scientist is only a scientist to the extent that they are practicing science. While in law, an attorney may practice adversarially under temporary rules, the rules in science are postulated to be permanent and unchanging. Therefore the parallel between the two professions is unsustainable.
Still I appreciate your thoughts and see the validity in them.
